West River Whitetails provides excellent opportunities for turkey hunting. We have both Merriam and Eastern Turkeys throughout our ranch. During spring, the ranch is home to hundreds of turkeys. If you have not experienced a South Dakota Spring Turkey hunt this is the one for you.
Archery Turkey
Spring Archery Turkey tags are not restricted to a draw and need to be ordered online, or purchase at a regional SD Fish & Game office. Most people have only hunted turkeys with a shotgun, and once they try with a bow they are hooked! All of our turkey hunts are 4 days and cover the entire ranch.
Shotgun Turkey
Spring Shotgun Turkey in Lyman county is a draw tag only. They do not give out many shotgun tags in our county, but if you do draw one you can still buy an over the counter Archery tag.
